Tanzanian artist, Diamond Platnumz Makes Africa Proud In Berlin, Germany

Reputed for his stage wizardry, Diamond Platnumz showed how an artist makes their audience happy

It’s a mega show with more than 1,000 people turning up at the prestigious Columbiahalle in Berlin on Saturday (7 September) for the #SIMBAinBERLIN concert. You had to wait for at least an hour before getting into the hall due to the massive turnout and the detailed security checks at the entrance.

However, the trouble was worth it as Diamond Platnumz, who had promised to make Africa proud a day to the event, lived up to his pledge on the stage.

East Africa’s king of pop delivered what, without exaggerations, could be described as a superlative show! He sang, danced, jumped and conversed – he simply entertained his audience.

Speaking at a press briefing on Friday in Berlin, the multi-award winning Tanzanian artist had said his aim was to make Berlin feel African music and he did deliver on that. Reputed for his dancing skills, Diamond Platnumz proved his stage wizardry on Saturday in Berlin.

The #SIMBAinBERLIN concert has pushed the envelope of African entertainment in Germany!

The Diamond Platnumz concert, taking place after Nigeria’s 2Face performed to a full house in the same venue a week earlier, shows that African artistes have a mass fan base in Berlin.

Now, I must say a few words about the NeXus Entertainment & Events, the outfit that staged the #SIMBAinBERLIN show. The African-owned company proved more than capable of organising such a mega event which is difficult to fault in any aspects  – the crowd management, the security, the show, the sound system, the supporting acts and so on and so forth. Kudos to NeXus!
