Sixty-eight Nigerians, most of them women and children, have been transferred to their country, the source said.
These sub-Saharan migrants from several neighborhoods in Oran including, downtown, Maraval, Yaghmouracen, M’dina J’dida, were first transported to Bir El Djir center before being transferred to Tamanrasset reception center from where they will be repatriated to their country of origin.
It is worth recalling that this repatriation operation was initiated following a request made by the Nigerian government in 2014. At least thirty or so repatriation operations were organized in Oran which allowed to transfer 5,500 sub-Saharan, pointed out the same source.
The operation of repatriation of Niger nationals continues “in good conditions,” highlighted the same source.
