Botswana FA begin search for new Zebras coach

Kabelo_Seakanyeng.jpgThe Botswana Football Association (BFA) have announced that they are looking for a new head coach for the senior national team.

This comes after the Zebras ended their disappointing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Angola at home last week.

The team was under the guidance of Mogomotsi Mpote, who was serving as a caretaker coach following the departure of Major David Bright.

The BFA have since released the following statement:

“Botswana Football being on the edge of a new era of football culture and development is looking for a highly qualified coach with international and national football knowledge and experience for the senior national team.”

“Role & Responsibilities: The role represents a key position in the Botswana National Team set-up in the cycle 2019-2021. The new coach will be the Head-Coach of the Botswana senior men national team.”

“Together with the senior national team coaching staff, medical staff, he will lead the program and the preparation of the senior national team towards international games and qualifying tournaments.”
