Chad oil production will be increased

Chief Executive Officer of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) West Africa, Wang Junren was received in audience on Monday by the head of state, Idriss Déby. At the center of the exchanges, the partnership between this company and Chad.

CNPC is a long-time partner of Chad. This company is known through the Djarmaya refinery and the exploitation of oil wells. The multinational firm intends to increase its production in 2019.

“Sino-Chadian cooperation has been very successful, especially since last year, and in 2018, we have increased annual production by one million barrels compared to 2017. We have also maintained the stability of the supply of refined products.We have contributed in terms of taxes with almost 1.5 billion CFA francs of income for Chad.This year, we will also certainly make a large increase in oil production, ” Wang Junren told reporters after his audience.

The company has not yet specified the additional quantity that should be produced.
