Georgia advises its nationals not to travel to Libya over lack of security

libya-georgia-flag.jpgThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has advised Georgian citizens to avoid travelling to Libya, and not to use air, sea or land means of transportation to the country, citing “civil war and fighting threats.”

The Georgian Foreign Ministry said, according to Georgian media, it was unable to provide assistance to Georgian citizens within the borders of Libya.

“Due to the difficult situation with respect to security in Libya, the Foreign Ministry urges Georgian citizens to refrain from traveling as well as from movement on the Libyan territory by air, ground and marine transport,” a statement by the Foreign Ministry reads.
